During my Years in high school (Spring, 2008), my mother refused to allow me to go off to art school. We fought and fought that entire year. She wanted me to go to law school SO BAD. So one day in class my teacher noticed i wasn't doing any work. She grew frustrated and told me to draw what i felt, and...well this piece came up. Took me 45 mins (whole class period) to finish. Showed it to my mom to tell her i felt and..she nearly cried.
Piece represents how i felt bound by my mother and how my future, the bubbling background was just decaying away |
